Spring - How to connect to RabbitMQ

Here is a snippet to test the connectivity between your machine and a RabbitMQ instance.

    factory.setPassword("YOUR PASSWORD");

    try (Connection conn = factory.newConnection()) {
        Channel channel = conn.createChannel();

        AMQP.Queue.DeclareOk response = channel.queueDeclarePassive(queueName);
